how to make pav bhaji at home

Pav bhaji is a popular Indian dish which is made of mashed vegetables and served with pav (bread rolls).

Ingredients:

1/2 cup boiled potatoes

1/2 cup boiled peas

1/2 cup chopped cauliflower

1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped onions

1 tsp minced ginger

1 tsp minced garlic

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp garam masala powder

1 tbsp butter

Salt to taste

For the pav bhaji masala:

1/4 cup roasted peanuts

1/4 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup chopped tomatoes

1 tsp minced ginger

1 tsp minced garlic

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp garam masala powder

Method:

1. To make the pav bhaji masala, grind together the peanuts, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, red chilli powder and garam masala powder to a smooth paste.

2. To make the pav bhaji, mix together the boiled potatoes, boiled peas, boiled cauliflower, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, minced ginger, minced garlic, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and butter in a bowl.

3. Add salt to taste and mix well.

4. Cook the pav bhaji on medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are cooked through.

5. Serve hot with pav.
