How to make Chilli Mushroom Recipe at Home

Chilli mushroom is a popular Indo-Chinese dish in which mushroom is cooked with spicy, sweet and sour flavours. Here’s a simple recipe to prepare chilli mushroom:

Ingredients:

– 1 cup chopped mushrooms
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2-3 green chillies, slit
– 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
– 2 tbsp cornflour
– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
– 1 tsp vinegar
– Salt to taste
– 2-3 tbsp oil
– Chopped spring onion for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, mix together cornflour, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar and salt to make the sauce.

2. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions, slit green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Saute for few minutes until onions are translucent.

3. Add chopped mushrooms and stir-fry on high heat for 5-6 minutes or until mushrooms are slightly browned.

4. Reduce the heat to low and add the prepared sauce. Mix everything well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the mushrooms evenly.

5. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot as a starter or side dish with fried rice or noodles.
